Cold-Formed Steel Design Computer Programs 
In 1991, the American Iron and Steel Institute published a document entitled "Cold-Formed Steel Design Computer Programs," which contained 12 computer programs related to the AISI Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members. The AISI document was updated and enlarged by the Center for Cold-Formed Steel Structures in 1993 and 1996. The 1996 publication includes a total of 30 computer programs which have been developed by authors located in the United States, Canada, Australia, and South Africa.
The computer programs listed herein are offered for sale by the authors, not by the American Iron and Steel Institute, nor the Center for Cold-Formed Steel Structures.  The program title, authors, biographical sketches of authors, program description, system requirements, company name, and cost are presented for each program. Contact the program author for additional information. Prices are effective as of January 1, 1996 and are subject to change without notice.

Research Directory and Abstracts 
For the purpose of developing a database for current research on cold-formed steel structures, the Center conducted a survey in 1996 to collect the latest information on the research projects which were recently completed or are being carried out in various institutions. Up to October 1996, a total of 48 projects have been reported from seven countries. These projects are classified into 20 major areas.  For each project, the title, investigators and sponsors are listed with a brief abstract. Publications are listed if available.  The cost of the Research Directory and Abstracts is $8.00 per copy.  Foreign orders will be charged $8.00 (US Dollars) plus shipping.  The rate for air and surface mail is the same. Cold-Formed Steel Design 
The Third Edition of the textbook Cold-Formed Steel Design (ISBN 0-471-34809-0), by Wei-Wen Yu, was published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., in June 2000. This newly-revised book is based on the 1996 Edition of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members with the 1999 Supplement. It reflects all the important developments that have occurred in the field of cold-formed steel structures over the past decade. The 756-page book features a complete coverage of the design of cold-formed steel structural members, connections, and assemblies using both the allowable stress design (ASD) and load and resistance factor design (LRFD) methods.
