| Dr. Wei-Wen Yu receives the 2009 SSRC Beedle Award from SSRC Chair Dr. Sam Easterling at the 2009 SSRC Annual Stability Conference, April 1-4, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. |
Dr. Wei-Wen Yu, Curator's Professor Emeritus at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and founder of the Wei-Wen Yu Center for Cold-Formed Structures, was named the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Beedle Award of the Structural Stabiltiy Research Council (SSRC).
The Beedle Award was established in honor of the late Lynn S. Beedle, an international authority on stability and the development of code criteria for steel and composite structures and a leader and outstanding contributor to the work of the SSRC.
