Center Director Dr. Roger A. LaBoube has been selected and recognized by the Structural Engineer Magazine in its 2011 Power List. He is cited as one of ten leaders in the structural engineering sector who is dedicated to advancing the profession and developing solutions to some of the world's toughest problems

“Roger A. LaBoube, Ph.D., PE
Dr. LaBoube is Curator’s Teaching Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering, director of the Wei-Wen Yu Center for Cold-Formed Steel Structures and director of the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has made significant career-long contributions to the research and development of standards relating to the design of cold-formed structural steel, and is a recognized world-wide expert in this field. Dr. LaBoube is active in several professional organizations and societies, including a member of the American Iron and Steel Institute’s (AISI) Committee on Specifications for the North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, and member of AISI’s Committee on Framing Standards. He is a recipient of the 2010 AISI Market Development Industry Leadership Award.
