| AISI Commitee on Specifications Chair, Roger Brockenbrough, presents a plaque to Dr. Wei-Wen Yu to commemorate his 50 years of service on the AISI Committee on Specifications. |
Dr. Wei-Wen Yu recently announced his retirement from the AISI Committee on Specifications after 50 years of service. In appreciation of his contributions and many years of service, the committee presented Dr. Yu with a commemorative plaque at their recent meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. The plaque reads: |

Dr. Wei-Wen Yu, Curator's Professor Emeritus at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and founder of the Wei-Wen Yu Center for Cold-Formed Structures, was named the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Beedle Award of the Structural Stabiltiy Research Council (SSRC).
The Beedle Award was established in honor of the late Lynn S. Beedle, an international authority on stability and the development of code criteria for steel and composite structures and a leader and outstanding contributor to the work of the SSRC.
